E, já que estamos no site de Ericksen, vale a pena (acho) ler uns excertos do livro “What is Anthropology?” (2004) que o autor disponibiliza no site. Thomas Hylland Ericksen tem insistido publicamente em prol da “antropologia implicada”. Pessoalmento, simpatizo bastante com as ideias deste autor, que publicou, em 2005, “Engaging Anthropology: The case for a Public presence” (o link é para a Amazon, porque, por motivos de copyright, o autor teve de retirar do domínio público os excertos que publicara no site).
