Antropologia e Direitos Humanos

1. Objectivos

A disciplina de Antropologia e Direitos Humanos tem como objectivos

 

• Recensear e enfrentar os diferentes desafios epistemológicos e éticos que o princípio dos Direitos Humanos colocam à disciplina
• Percorrer historicamente a construção do conceito de Direitos Humanos e das Instituições que lhe estão directamente associadas.
• Percorrer as etnografias relativas a algumas das áreas mais significativas de preocupação e aplicação dos Direitos Humanos
• Percorrer as etnografias de algumas organizações internacionais governamentais e não governamentais ligadas aos Direitos Humanos
• Fornecer instrumentos metodológicos para a investigação na área dos Direitos Humanos.

 

2. Funcionamento da disciplina

A cadeira funciona em regime de seminário. Serão alternados momentos de enquadramento teórico com sessões temáticas de discussão em torno de textos, filmes e estudos de caso apresentados para cada um dos módulos temáticos. Para algumas sessões serão convidados antropólogos com investigação e intervenção na área das ONGs humanitárias e dos Direitos Humanos. A participação dos alunos será imprescindível e avaliada de acordo com um calendário de apresentações/moderações. O ritmo de trabalho obrigará à leitura de, pelo menos, um texto para cada aula, para além da leitura progressiva das obras consideradas de formação teórica global.

Para além de alguns dos textos referenciados para discussão outros materiais / notícias/ filmes serão colocados no blogue dos participantes na disciplina, pelo que a sua visita regular e contribuição é aconselhada. http://direitosehumanos.wordpress.com/

  

3. Avaliação

De acordo com as normas em vigor, a avaliação da disciplina contemplará

  a) a participação regular nos debates temáticos (50%) e a elaboração de um teste final           (50%)

Ou, para os alunos que não possam assistir e participar num mínimo de 70% das aulas,

b) um trabalho escrito final baseado na bibliografia sugerida para um dos painéis (máximo de 8       páginas = 30%) e a elaboração de um teste final (70%)

Os alunos deverão optar por um dos regimes de avaliação e comunicá-lo à docente no início do ano. Contudo, o não cumprimento das 70% de presenças anulará, automaticamente, a opção pela avaliação do tipo a).

  

4. Bibliografia e materiais de apoio

Para cada aula serão referidos os textos em discussão seleccionados, bem como outra bibliografia relativa aos temas a tratados. Os textos de difícil acesso serão, sempre que existam em formato digital, colocados no blog dos participantes da disciplina (Materiais de Apoio 2009). Serão também arquivados no dossier da disciplina, na loja das fotocópias.
